Oriel Mostyn Gallery is Wales' leading contemporary art gallery and completely free to enter, a lovely, unhurried way to spend an hour or two in the town centre.

For a slower pace, the town's cafes and independent shops along Mostyn Street and Madoc Street are made for a rainy afternoon of browsing, with plenty of cosy spots to warm up with a coffee.
